Honoring the sacred birth of you

When a woman is in labor, she is birthing not just her baby, but an entirely new identity of mother. Two people are born that day. When we understand this, a profound level of respect rises in us. We love her tenderly; we soften, and we are attuned to this sacred transition of the mother-baby dyad.

This is a body, soul, and spirit birth. This is Mama touching heaven and coming back to earth to bring her child into this world. I wholeheartedly wish our society at large made space for this incredible journey for women.

How were you treated when giving birth? Did you feel honored by those present with you? What words or actions did you need from others during and following your birth experience? Let me know below 🤍
